Weather controllers receive a signal from the outdoor temperature sensor, which records the actual temperature, and based on this the controller corrects the amount of heat energy supplied and adjusts the heat supply to the radiators, ensuring a constant set room temperature.

The use of Danfoss ECL 210/310 electronic weather-compensated controllers in single-family homes can result in energy savings of 10-40%, and the return on investment is particularly quick for single-family homes with high heat consumption. Weatherization controllers are also required by legislation for multi-family and commercial buildings.
