Actuators for rotary valves

( number of products: 47 )

Actuators for rotary valves are used to control rotary mixing valves and diverter valves. Danfoss AMB actuators are characterized by quiet and reliable operation and maintenance-free operation. They are distinguished by an additional auxiliary switch, LED indication of the current position and direction of rotation, and a manual valve rotation mode activated by a fixed clutch. AMB 162 and AMB 182 actuators are ideal for temperature control in central heating systems together with 3-way and 4-way rotary valves types HRB, HRE and HFE. The actuators are characterized by torques: 5, 10 and 15 Nm, rotation angle of 90° and operating speed set by DIP switch (only actuators with analog control). The actuator can be attached directly to the rotary valve (current generations of HRB, HRE and HFE valves) or with an adapter (older valves).

When choosing an AMB actuator, it is worth paying attention to several important factors, such as:

  • torque - select an actuator with adequate power, adequate to the control requirements of the valve in question;
  • operating speed - it is worth paying attention to the speed, which should be matched to the needs of the control;
  • control signal - choose an actuator with a control signal that meets the requirements of the valve control system (2-point, 3-point, analog);
  • rated voltage - choose an actuator with the appropriate rated voltage compatible with the available power supply in the system - 230V or 24V;
  • additional features - look out for additional features such as an additional auxiliary switch or LED indication of the current position and direction of rotation.

Application of actuators for rotary valves

Rotary valve actuators are key components in hydraulic systems that allow precise control of mixing and diverter valves. In central heating systems, their task is to regulate the flow of the medium, which directly affects the optimization of the operation of the entire system and temperature control. Danfoss AMB series actuators, including the AMB 162 and AMB 182 models, are dedicated to work with 3-way and 4-way rotary valves, such as HRB, HRE or HFE. They allow efficient and maintenance-free control of valves, which translates into increased efficiency and reliability of heating systems.

Key features of Danfoss AMB actuators

Danfoss AMB actuators are distinguished by a number of features that make them a reliable choice for controlling rotary valves. Their quiet operation and maintenance-free operation are just some of the advantages that ensure the comfort of use for a long time. An additional auxiliary switch, with which the actuators are equipped, allows flexible management of the installation, while an LED indicates the current position of the valve and its direction of rotation. An additional feature is the manual valve rotation mode, activated by a fixed clutch, which makes it easier to operate if manual adjustment is required.

Technical parameters and functionality

AMB actuators offer a variety of torques to suit specific installation needs: 5, 10 and 15 Nm. The standard angle of rotation is 90°, which perfectly meets the requirements of typical rotary valves. On models equipped with analog control, the user can set the speed of operation using a DIP switch, giving even more control over the control process. The actuators can be mounted directly on new generation rotary valves or with adapters for older models, increasing their versatility.

Criteria for selecting an AMB actuator

When selecting an AMB actuator, there are several important factors to consider. It is crucial to choose the right torque - it should be adapted to the requirements of the valve to ensure proper operation of the system. The speed of the actuator should also be matched to the specifics of the installation, especially for systems where dynamic flow control is important. It is also important to choose the right type of control signal (2-point, 3-point, analog), according to the requirements of the system. It is also worth noting the rated voltage (230V or 24V), which must be compatible with the availability of power in the installation, and additional features such as LED and auxiliary switch, which increase the comfort and functionality of the actuator's use.
